The Weinland Park Community Civic Association’s newest committee, the Beautification Committee, is off to a banner start in the neighborhood. Recent projects have included new beds and flowers in the park and a trash and refuse survey. The somewhat dire results of the trash survey spurred the city into action. Bulk pick-ups were initiated and new trash cans were brought to the neighborhood.  Already planning for spring, the Beautification Committee is going to  plant bulbs along North Fourth Street and give passing suburbanites a chance to stop and smell the flowers in Weinland Park.

New flowers!

Alley right after “National Everyone Throw Your Mattress Away At The Same Time Day” but before the Beautification Committee’s trash survey results were shared with city officials.

The nice and shiny alley after bulk pick-up and new trash cans. Thanks Beautification Committee.
