Curiosity got the best of your local blogger after reading the 5th and Summit thread on the Columbus Underground and he rode down to the auto dealership to check it out. And the dealership is indeed a thing of the past.

Let’s welcome El Escondido, opening this weekend. There will be a taco truck and perhaps a store although there was a language barrier between the extremely nice and friendly couple that owns the business and your local blogger. It appeared that the inside of the building was being converted to some type of retail.

Goodbye auto dealership. It’s nice to see 5th Avenue turning into the Weinland Park foodie strip with Brothers Drake, Middle West, El Escondido, and Woody and Joe’s Ribs. It all makes a nice neighborhood tour. It’s too bad about Bar L’Etranger, one could get thirsty crossing the street there.
